Batch processing delays impacting withdrawal times

Monitoring - We are happy to report the backlog of pending withdrawals has now been processed. We expect these to be available for users in 'Ready to Withdraw' status from Immutable X within the next 24 hours (maximum).

We would like to pass on our apologies for the delays users have experienced during this time. An exceptionally high volume of minting and transfer activity resulted in more than 15 million transactions in a 48 hour window. This volume delayed all batch processing and flowed on to impact withdrawals from Immutable X.

Our team is working through a deeper retrospective to look for ways we can expedite withdrawals in future to avoid this impact.

Update - Due to ongoing batch processing delays, withdrawals from Immutable X are currently expected to take a minimum of 72 hours, and may take up to 96 hours.

We expect to return to the normal 8 hour processing time of withdrawals by 8th September 2024.

Update - The delay for withdrawal processing from Immutable X has has now reduced to approximately 72 hours.

This backlog was caused by a high volume of transactions.

Withdrawals are progressing and the current expectation from Submitted to 'Ready to Withdraw' is 80 hours.

Incorrect network selected by Metamask when using Link
Resolved - This issue is now resolved. Please ensure you are running the latest stable version of MetaMask which includes fixes for this issue.

Identified - We have identified that MetaMask has enabled an experimental feature for users which is incompatible with Link. We are engaging with MetaMask on next steps.

The work around below is confirmed to resolve this issue for users. Please reach out to Immutable Support if you continue to have issues after attempting the work around.

Investigating - We are investigating issues with Link not recognising the selected chain.

To work around this issue, users can turn off the "Select networks for each site" experimental feature in Metamask.

We are investigating options to fix this for all users.

Delays with Metadata Refresh
Resolved - The incident was mitigated for all partners after a database query that was causing errors in certain metadata refreshes was patched.

All Metadata Refresh Requests should be processed as expected.

Investigating - We are currently investigating an issue impacting Metadata Refresh that is causing delays updating metadata for some assets on Immutable X.

Assets on zkEVM are unaffected.
